WI Suspending all Oversize Overweight Permits

Due to weather forecasts showing heavy snowfall and gusting winds, Wednesday, March 23 through Thursday, March 24, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Oversize Overweight Permit Section is suspending all single and multiple trip permits starting today, Wednesday, March 23 at 3 p.m. through Thursday, March 24 at noon.

All single and multiple trip permits are affected by this administrative suspension. This is in addition to spring thaw restrictions.

The suspension affects the following counties: Adams, Brown, Buffalo, Calumet, Chippewa, Clark, Door, Dunn, Eau Claire, Florence, Forest, Jackson, Juneau, Kewaunee, La Crosse, Langlade, Lincoln, Manitowoc (North of Highway 151), Marathon, Marinette, Menominee, Monroe, Oconto, Outagamie, Pepin, Pierce, Portage, Richland (North of Highway 56), Shawano, Taylor, Trempealeau, Vernon (North of Highway 56), Waupaca, Waushara, Winnebago and Wood.

WisDot reminds that even if the county in which you wish to operate is not listed above, your permit is not valid if weather is inclement and road conditions are bad.
