Large loads are common for WCS Permits, however a specific move for longtime client, Bigge Crane was significant.
The vessel headed from Oklahoma City, Ok. to an oil refinery in Crockett, Ca. was 660,000 pounds with loaded dimensions of 19-feet high, 18-feet, 6-inches wide and 250-feet long.
Moving such a massive load cross-country meant that WCS variance consultants had to be a bit more diligent. The process took three months, but once the initial Oklahoma permit was obtained it was smooth sailing to California.
