During the month of May, some DOT state oversize load offices will be closed for some specific holidays, which may affect oversize load travel. 
Missouri – Monday, May 8 – Closed for Truman Day
While the Missouri state DOT office is closed in observance of Truman Day, there are no oversize load travel restrictions at this time.
South Carolina – Wednesday, May 10 – Closed for Confederate Memorial Day
The state of South Carolina DOT oversize load division is closed for Confederate Memorial Day, although no specific size or weight oversize load travel restrictions apply.
Minnesota – Friday, May 12 through Sunday, May 14 – Fishing Opener – DOT Open, Oversize Travel Restrictions Apply
The Minnesota Fishing weekend opener is always a big event for the state, so big that big travel is restricted. All oversize/overweight travel is only allowed on Friday, May 12 from 2 PM until 2 AM on Saturday, May 13, and on 2 PM on Sunday, May 14 from 2 PM until 2 AM on Monday, May 15.
