Independence Day Oversize Travel Restrictions & Closures

Independence Day, Tuesday, July 4, 2017 oversize load travel restrictions and DOT permit division office closures are available for download on the WCS Permits & Pilot Cars’ website.

WCS Permits compiles a closure and restrictions list, organized by state and some major cities, for each major holidays affecting oversize load travel and limiting state office staff for permit turnaround.

Each state office is closed on the Independence Day, with a few more closures a day before or after. Most states’ travel restrictions begin Monday, July 3 and subside Wednesday, July 5.
