FMCSA to Increase UCR Fees in 2025

United Carrier Registration fees will increase by 25% for the 2025 registration year. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) on June 17 announced they will officially increase UCR fees paid by motor carriers, freight forwarders, freight brokers and leasing companies in 2025.

For one truck owner-ops with authority, the increase will be $9 annually. Fleets with more than 1,000 trucks will pay $9,000 more than they did in 2024.

The UCR plan is a program that requires individuals or companies that operate commercial motor vehicles in interstate or international commerce to register their business with a participating state and pay an annual fee based on the size of their fleet.
