The state of Arkansas has increased the maximum allowable weight on a permitted tandem-axle group combination from 40,000 to 46,000 pounds, effective now.
Arkansas state transportation officials said in December, the increase would go into effect this month.
Drivers are also allowed to carry and display permits electronically on screens with at least seven-inch displays. 
The SC&RA Permit Policy Committee worked closely with Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to push through both changes. According to the SC&RA, this change naltrexone online will allow for more effective transportation along the north and south transportation corridor from the Midwest to Gulf State ports.
Oklahoma, Iowa, Tennessee and Nebraska are the only remaining states with a tandem maximum weight of 40,000 pounds, although Tennessee’s increase is in progress.
Carrying and displaying oversize/overweight load permits electronically will provide convenience for those drivers who use a smart phone, tablet or laptop to conduct business. Some available smart phones have a seven-inch or larger display.
