Another oversize load travel spring ban will begin in Alberta on Thursday, March 19. Below is the full road ban order.

Road Ban Order:

Alberta Transportation Road Ban Order 26 – Road – 04 comes into effect at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 19, 2026.

Toll-free road ban information for provincial highways can be obtained by dialing 1-855-ROADBAN (1-855-762-3226).

Current information on road bans on local roads in Counties and Municipal Districts should be obtained through their individual offices.

Seasonal Weights for Heavy Haul and Service Rigs:

Effective 12:01 am, Thursday, March 19, 2026, Spring season weights for heavy haul and Period 1 season weights for service rigs will come into effect on roads south of and including Township 58.

Winter season weights for heavy haul and Period 4 season weights for service rigs remain in effect north of the thaw line.
