Several state DOT (Department of Transportation) departments are warning about oversize load travel restrictions during the upcoming Solar Eclipse. 
On Monday, August 21, 2017, the United States will experience the first total solar eclipse in almost 100 years. While the states along the path of totality will experience the most traffic congestion, a lot of states have posted commercial vehicle travel restrictions including limitations on oversize/over-dimensional travel.
Colorado
The Colorado DOT has decided to restrict all oversize/overweight travel North of Highway 50 from Kansas to Utah starting sundown Thursday, Aug. 17 through sunrise Wednesday, Aug. 17. The Oversize/overweight permit unit can be contacted at 303.757.9539. Click here for more info.

Idaho
No oversize load travel from sunrise on Friday, August 18 until Sunset Tuesday, August 22. if over width. Click for more info.
Illinois has no specific oversize travel restrictions published, but travel and safety tips can be viewed on the state website.

Kentucky
No restrictions
Missouri
Only superloads will be restricted during the eclipse in Missouri. There is no superload movement from Saturday, August 19 until Tuesday, August 22. No restrictions will be implemented for routine permits.
Montana

Nebraska
According to the state advisory, and as a result, oversized/over-dimensional loads will not be able to travel from sundown on Friday, August 18 until sunrise on Tuesday, August 22. Overweight loads can travel with a valid permit. More info here.

No oversize travel restrictions have been posted.
Oregon
No travel if over-width from noon Aug. 18 through Aug. 21, normal travel resumes Aug. 22
Tennessee
No oversize load restrictions are posted.
Wyoming
