2025 Canada Day OS/OW Travel Restrictions

June 25, 2025

Canada Day, celebrated on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 will include some oversize/overweight travel restrictions.

The following oversize load restrictions will apply in each province.

ALBERTA

No travel allowed if over 3.85m wide from 3:00pm on 06/30 and all day 06/30 and 07/01

BRITISH COLUMBIA

No travel allowed if over 31.0m long or 3.80m wide after 3:30 pm on 06/30- 07/01 based on
size. REFER to the restrictions in your permit quoting your specific dimensions and
area of travel for specific restrictions on your load.

SASKATCHEWAN

No travel allowed if over 3.85m wide, 42m long, or 9m rear effective overhang after
3:00pm on 06/30, and after noon on 07/01.

MANITOBA

06/30 & 07/01-no travel If over 3.40m wide on 2‐lane Hwys, 3.70m wide on 4‐lane Hwys, or
over 26m long, no travel after 4:00 pm on 06/30 and no travel 07/01.

ONTARIO

Under annual dimension: No travel allowed after Noon on 07/01.
Over annual dimension: No travel allowed after Noon on 06/30 & no travel allowed on 07/01

QUEBEC

No travel allowed on 07/01.

NEW BRUNSWICK

No travel after 3:00pm on 06/30 & after noon on 07/01 If over 3.65m wide and/or 30m long
REFER to permits for specific restrictions regarding your load.

NEWFOUNDLAND

No travel allowed if over 3.65m wide after 3:00pm on 06/28 until sunrise the 07/02, unless otherwise stated on permit.

NWT and the YUKON

No special travel restrictions.

NOVA SCOTIA

No travel allowed after noon 07/01 unless otherwise stated on your permit.

PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND

No special travel restrictions. Daylight Travel only.
