WisDOT Oversized Permits Frozen Roads Update

The Wisconsin state oversize/overweight load permit department (Wisconsin Department of Transportation) released the following regarding the frozen roads period.

The Frozen Roads period ends, and Class II restrictions begin STATEWIDE at 12:01 AM on Saturday, March 6, 2021. The Posted Roads Period begins STATEWIDE at 12:01 PM on Monday, March 8, 2021.

Wisconsin DOT has a number of rest areas available for drivers to park and wait out inclement weather.
Many weight stations also have available parking.
Wisconsin’s new Truck Parking Information Management System is active at the multiple rest area locations and highway signage will explain space availability.
