WCS Permits & Pilot Cars Ready for Breakbulk 2024

WCS Permits & Pilot Cars Ready for Breakbulk 2024

The 2024 Breakbulk Americas Project Cargo trade show is happening place Oct. 15-17 in Houston and WCS Permits & Pilot Cars is again exhibiting.

This is WCS’ ninth year at Breakbulk, the industry’s largest project cargo and breakbulk trade show, which brings together hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of attendees.

The show takes place at the George R. Brown Convention Center October 15 – 17, which brings together providers of breakbulk and project cargo services, heavy haulers and industry related service providers.

WCS Permits will talk to booth visitors about oversize load permits, logistics consulting, trip & fuel permits, pilot cars and truck safety equipment, including the newest oversize load LED lights.

This year, the team will be at booth D41 ready to say hello to anyone who swings by and wants to learn a little more about what WCS has to offer.

The all-new Pi-Lit® Smart Sequential LED Oversize Load Lights, sold exclusively by WCS Permits will be on display. The lights have a FMCSA 5-Year CMV exemption as the new approved warning device and alternative to triangles. Not only that, the lights are available in various set sizes, are rechargeable, shock proof to 50,000 pounds, waterproof and made in the USA.

In more recent years, WCS has expanded its truck safety product offering to include in-house manufactured oversize load signs, safety flags, measuring poles and other truck safety products. WCS will show off some of the product line at the show. The company also sells all products online via their web store at store.wcspermits.com

WCS developed and maintains, the Permit Portal on Google Play at the App Store. This app allows for drivers and dispatchers to receive instant automated text message notifications when oversize permits are approved and ready for download, print or email. With each permit, the app allows for viewing of any required state attachments, which will also be available for download.

For years, WCS’ online permit system has allowed customers to place orders, and view and download permits, which has proven to be a valuable tool for drivers and dispatchers. Now the Permit Portal app brings even more convenience and ease, eliminating the exchange of numerous emails and phone calls.

WCS also owns and maintains The Oversize Load Assistant; an online permit manual with the ability to search by regulations, US state, Canadian Provence or a combination. In early 2018, WCS added a new feature of the Oversize Load Assistant, the Permit Calculator. The calculator allows users to estimate permit fees based on their upcoming travel. By entering a few variables such as dimensions and estimated miles being traveled, the program calculates a permit total for the user per state. This feature is part of the premium membership option available. The basic plan allows users to search regulations such as pilot car regulations, oversize load dimensions, oversize night and weekend travel, holiday travel and more. The premium plan includes the calculator, plus all of what is included in the basic plan.
