MO: I-44 CLOSED in Phelps & Laclede Counties

Interstate 44 is closed in Phelps (WB) and Laclede (EB) Counties to all traffic, including oversize load carriers, the Missouri Department of Transportation confirmed early this morning.

Eastbound traffic must leave by MM 120 at Route 5, at Lebanon and westbound traffic must leave the interstate at MM 168, US Route 63 south in Rolla.

Flooding of the eastbound lanes at Hazelgreen, Mo., prompted the closure. Route 5 is the nearest through route.
