There will be some oversize load travel restrictions in effect in the state of Minnesota May 13 – 15, 2022 for Fishing Opener weekend. The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is advising all to plan ahead.
MnDOT released a statement saying oversize/overweight travel from 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13 until 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, and from 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 15 until 2:00 a.m. Monday, May 16.
Every year, Minnesota has oversize travel restrictions for fishing opener weekend. The state has called the event, “walleye fishing opener” as that is the dominant fish anglers come out for state-wide.
