Interstate 74 Reopens After 40-vehicle Pileup

All lanes reopened today after a 40-car pileup on Interstate 74 in Dearborn County near the Indiana-Ohio border.

The crashes occurred just before 11 a.m. — one at Exit 169 involving 28 vehicles and one at Exit 169 involving 12 more.

Six people were taken to the hospital, and it was reported no one suffered life-threatening injuries.

While the crashes occurred on westbound lanes, eastbound lanes were being used for tow trucks.
