New Employee Spotlight: Christy Auxier

Before arriving at WCS Permits, Christy Auxier, spent 25 years in the oversize transport business. In various industry roles, including dispatching, sales and building a pilot car division, Christy honed her talent in permitting and fueled her passion for building relationships with owner-operators, drivers, dispatchers and more.

These experiences led her to her role at WCS Permits & Pilot Cars as a Transportation Consultant, where she will continue to help those obtaining oversize permits for loads being transported across North America.

Today, the WCS Permits’ transportation consultant roster is over 65 deep, and Christy is excited to add her industry knowledge, customer service and attention-to-detail strength to the team.

Christy shares that while she’s savvy when it comes to technology, she still enjoys doing things the old school way. “I get on the phone and talk to people. I always lend an ear, still with a business focus, but I build on that and create a foundation and that’s why people stay with you,” she said.

She believes her experience and philosophy will help her ease into her role at WCS as she continues to do what she loves.

Here’s a few Q&A’s to learn more about Christy.

What do you enjoy about oversize load permitting the most?
It’s ever changing. Doing interesting and fun things and being able to talk to people all over the US and the industry is the best.

What are some of the most memorable oversize loads you permitted?
I helped move the haul of the Titanic from one Smithsonian to another. It was so fragile it had to be bubble wrapped and escorted. I also helped move the world’s largest pie pan.

When you’re not permitting loads, how do you spend your time?
I enjoy spending time with my mom and my dog, Piper a Yorkie Papillon mix.
